Audi wins Le Mans for the 13th time, we drive the 2015 Bentley Flying Spur V8, and the 2015 Jaguar XE is spied on video—it’s The Week In Reverse, right here at Motor Authority.

With its 13th win in 16 attempts, Audi continues to cement its place in the record books. The win at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans was far from easy, however, requiring heroic efforts from the crew and drivers alike.

In other track-related news, Renault’s Megane RS 275 Trophy hot-hatch has set a new benchmark for front-wheel-drive cars at the Nürburgring with a lap time of 7:54.36. How much faster can front-drivers get?

One of the Kings of the ‘Ring, the Nissan GT-R, will soon be getting a complete re-make, and Nissan’s Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo, built for the Gran Turismo 6 video game, may show the way forward. It’s a stunning design, and while too extreme for a real-world production car, definite hints at what to expect can be found in the concept’s flares and folds.

At the other end of the motoring spectrum, we drove the 2015 Bentley Flying Spur V8, and found it to be one of the finest vehicles made today—and no disappointment for the lack of a 12-cylinder engine.

Fellow British carmaker Jaguar is looking to add to its portfolio again soon, this time with a smaller luxury sedan that will be known as the 2016 Jaguar XE. Our spies captured the car in testing at the Nürburgring, giving us a sample of the throaty sounds and brisk performance it will offer.

While covering the race at Le Mans, we got the rare chance to take a lap of the track during race week—and took it greedily. It’s one thing to watch the race, even in person, but to actually experience the track brings home just how daunting a task the drivers face during their 24 hours of competition.

And finally this week, with Le Mans behind us, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is next on the docket, and Land Rover has a special debut set for the event, which it calls the “fastest and most agile” Range Rover Sport yet. What can we expect? Likely an R-S badge, a 550-horsepower supercharged V-8, and upgraded suspension among other improvements.
