A mysterious prototype for what's alleged to be a new Ferrari race car has been spotted in Italy. The prototype appears to be based on Ferrari’s latest LaFerrari supercar but it is substantially wider than the Ferrari flagship and its rear section is different. Some suggestions for the prototype’s identity include a new Le Mans prototype or a mule for Ferrari’s 2014 Formula One engine.
