The Radical RXC Turbo joined the rest of the British automaker's road-biased RXC range at Autosport International, packing a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V-6.
That engines produces 454 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, compared to 380 hp and 320 lb-ft for the naturally-aspirated RXC, which is powered by a 3.7-liter V-6 similar to the one offered in the base Ford Mustang. Radical also offers a 3.0-liter V-8 RXC with 480 hp, but that's for track use only.

Hooked to a seven-speed Quaife sequential gearbox with paddle shifters, the EcoBoost V-6 will propel the RXC Turbo from a standstill in 2.6 seconds, and on to a top speed of 185 mph. That shouldn't be too surprising, considering the car weighs just under 2,000 pounds.
That lightweight chassis is a steel spaceframe built to FIA specifications, and features an integrated rollcage. The RXC also has double wishbone suspension and steel--or optional carbon-ceramic--brakes.
The Turbo is the latest RXC model, all of which are the result of a clean-sheet design meant to produce a more mainstream Radical sports car.
As with the standard RXC, customers get a slightly less extreme driving experience, with a closed cockpit accessed via gullwing doors. The RXC even features such niceties as an adjustable multifunction steering wheel, electronic power steering, electrically-adjustable heated side mirrors, and adjustable pedal box, heated windscreen, and air conditioning.
