In the market for a full-size, V-8-powered luxury sedan? Feel like spending less than $60,000? Kia has a K900 with your name on it... at least they hope your name is on it, considering the car isn't exactly selling well. Last year, just 1,330 examples were sold.

This has led to a price cut, with the K900 now priced from $55,400 (with a $900 destination charge) thanks to a new entry-level Premium trim. To get the price down from a previous $60,400, Kia has deleted some items such as the LED headlights, chrome trim, Nappa leather and 17-speaker audio system.
To add these items back, Kia offers a Luxury trim, which is priced from $60,800 with the destination charge. Yes, you're going to have to pay a bit more to have all of the cool stuff stuff, but you're still well under the asking price of a similarly-equipped German or Japanese luxo-barge.
And don't forget, the Kia K900 does boast a 420-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 engine under its hood. It sends that power out back for proper-wheel-drive, and the cabin space is filled with the sort of options you'd expect from the likes of Audi, BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz.

So far, the Kia K900 seems to be an interesting experiment in flagship positioning and brand appeal. While the K900 is a decent machine loaded with great options and a strong engine, it doesn't appear to have the luxury brands too worried.
