Appropriately labeled the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase, it is the largest and most expensive SUV in Land Rover’s lineup and serves as the flagship when in Autobiography Black trim. Customers can opt for individualized front and rear seats, with a custom center console running the length of the cabin and including a chiller compartment and pop-out tables.
Engineers have managed to add around 8 inches to the wheelbase by stretching the regular Range Rover’s aluminum unibody structure. This translates to 5.5-inches more rear seat legroom than standard-wheelbase models and when equipped with the optional executive seating package, an increased seatback recline of 17 degrees. Buyers will also be able to opt for a massage function.
The long-wheelbase variants will initially be available on the high-end Supercharged and Autobiography trim levels. Further down the track, expect to see the Range Rover’s V-6 option and possibly new hybrid powertrains offered.
