Hennessey is offering performance upgrades for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that sees the car’s output top out at 1,000 horsepower, more than double that of the stock version, but as these videos show you don’t have to shell out the big bucks to get some impressive performance out of the car. The videos show Hennessey’s entry-level HPE500 upgrade for the Corvette Stingray, which boosts output to 507 horsepower and 518 pound-feet of torque, up from a stock 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque (with performance exhaust).

Not only is the HPE500 Corvette Stingray blisteringly quick off the line, it also sounds great. Hennessey quotes a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a quarter mile ET of 11.7 seconds at 122 mph.

The upgrades include long-tube stainless steel headers, high-flow catalytic converters, retuning of the ECU, custom badging, carbon fiber door sills, and full dyno and road testing. The upgrade also includes a 3 year/36,000 mile limited warranty.

Should you require more potency under the hood, Hennessey offers upgrades delivering 600-, 700-, 800- and 1,000-horsepower ratings. There are also a host of chassis mods including monoblock, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and Penske adjustable suspension.

If you’re interested, you had better act fast as Hennessey is limiting the upgrade to only 500 cars for the 2014 model year.
