Offering the most expensive is typically not something a video game company would typically brag about. In this case, we understand the exception.

Buyers of the GRID2: Mono Edition package will get not just a copy of the game for the PlayStation 3. They'll also get a BAC Mono sports car. For just $190,000 total.

The Mono isn't just a regular production model, either. It gets a special GRID2 livery. A full set of race wear is also included for the driver.

For those that have forgotten about the Mono, it's a formula-style sports car with a 2.3-liter, 280-horsepower Cosworth engine getting it to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a 170 mph top speed. Sequential shifts via a Hewland gearbox, Sachs suspension, and AP Racing brakes are also standard.

Other bonuses include a day at the BAC factory, spending time with technicians and getting custom measurements taken for their car, a GRID2: Mono Edition Bell racing helmet, and a PlayStation 3.

The $190,000 price tag is about $45,000 higher than a base Mono, so even considering the limited-edition nature of the package, you're essentially getting the rest of the gear at retail. It did manage to set a Guinness World Record for the "Most Expensive Video Game Commercially Available – Special Edition" category, after all.

While it's a bit gimmicky, we actually appreciate and approve of both BAC and GRID's makers, Codemasters, tying the virtual world of racing games to the real world of driving fast cars. It's a link too many gamers fail to find.
