Day six of our 30 Days of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type brings us to what we are calling The Ultimate F-Type Build. We went to the online Jaguar F-Type configurator and built two different vehicles that we feel would be the pinnacles of the model line--depending on your goals, of course.

The first F-Type we configured is the ultimate model for those seeking the minimalist enthusiast approach. We started with the $81,000 F-Type S with its supercharged V-6 engine rated at 380 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. The reason we choose this setup for our minimalist approach is there's more than enough horsepower out of the supercharged six, and the engine puts less weight up front in the engine bay. It's also $11,000 cheaper than the V8 S model.

Sticking with the minimalist approach, we skipped most of the expensive options, such as the upgraded audio system, larger wheels, and pricey paint options. The only option we chose was the $3,400 package that includes Jaguar's performance brake system, sport leather steering wheel, configurable dynamic mode, performance pack, switchable active sport exhaust, performance seats, and black aluminum trim.

All-in, our minimalist 2014 Jaguar F-Type S rings in for a grand total of $84,400 and will take you from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph.

Switching gears, we built another F-Type checking all the options making it the ultimate build for those seeking luxury and performance. Our starting point was the $92,000 F-Type V8 S model, with a 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 engine rated at 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. While the supercharged six has more than enough power, when we are going for gold we want eight cylinders under the hood.

Going through the build process we checked all the boxes. Of course our paint choice was the $1,500 British Racing Green, accented by $2,500 20-inch blade wheels. We also optioned for the Carbon Fiber Package to accent the green paint. Finishing off our exterior options is Jaguar's Performance Brake Package with red calipers.

Inside our F-Type we optioned for the $800 Premium Package which adds power adjustability to everything, auto dimming mirrors, and a Valet Mode. Next we checked off the $2,100 Vision Package, which adds adaptive front lighting, blind spot monitoring and automatic high beams. It also adds front parking sensors and a backup camera with a Cross Traffic Alert system. The Climate Package is yet to be priced but it added heated seats and a heated steering wheel, though this option set is included when the Premium Package is selected.

The $2,950 Performance Package we selected allows the driver to adjust the engine, steering, gearshift timing, and suspension settings with a configurable dynamic mode. And since we are going for luxury we ticked the box for the $1,925 Extended Leather Package, which wraps nearly the entire interior in soft-grain leather. While we are coddled by the leather our ears will hear the $1,200 Meridian 770-watt surround sound audio system with twelve speakers. To make sure that sound system pumps out our favorite tunes we added HD radio and Sirius satellite radio for $450.

For $1,500 extra we covered our sport seats in premium leather with contrasting stitching which matches our optional $500 Camel Tan carpet and $350 Camel-colored seatbelts.

Since we are going all-out, we optioned for the $350 heated windshield and Jaguar British-flag wheel center caps. We also choose the $450 illuminated stainless steel tread plates and an umbrella holder in the trunk.

Altogether, our ultimate luxury 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S rang in at $109,225, and that's with some of our options yet to be priced. We could've taken that total to $111,625 had we optioned for the Exterior Design Package and Black Package, but that requires the exterior paint color to be white, and we are quite smitten with the British Racing Green.

As you can see from the above, there are dozens of options packages, giving you no excuse for not having a unique Jaguar F-Type. Now the only question is how would you option your 2014 Jaguar F-Type?
