The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST offers an impressive combination of performance and price, outdoing the Fiat 500 Abarth, Chevy Sonic RS, and Mini Cooper S on the numbers, and, based on our first driving impressions, possibly on the road as well.

Ford this morning confirmed several choice statistics about the Fiesta ST, though without getting into specifics. So what's new?

The Fiesta ST now officially rates 26 mpg city and 35 mpg highway per the EPA, for 29 mpg combined. The new Fiesta ST will also be priced under $22,000 (or just over with delivery fees), and will offer some impressive performance--for its size.

In fact, with 35 mpg highway efficiency, 197 horsepower, 202 pound-feet of torque, and excellent hot-hatch dynamics, the only thing the Fiesta ST may lack is space.

Of course, there's always the Focus ST...
