The Chicago Auto Show isn't typically the blockbuster event that Detroit, Geneva, and New York are, and this years has been no exception--but it has still hosted some notable debuts. Among them this is the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline, a slightly edgier and more aggressively styled take on the Challenger R/T.

While power output remains the same as the R/T at 375 horsepower when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission (or 372 with the five-speed auto), the Challenger R/T Redline gets a performance suspension setup to match its muscle-car color and styling accents.

An available Super Track Pak lowers the ride height further, adds Goodyear Eagle F1 performance tires, and high-performance brake pads.

The looks is really what makes the Challenger R/T Redline, however, and the package is more than just stickers. In addition to the Redline Red and Graphite stripe along the side, the Redline name over the rear quarter panel, and a body-color grille surround, the Challenger R/T Redline gets 20-inch Black Chrome wheels with a Redline Red inner lip accent.

Four exterior colors are available with the Redline package, including: Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Bright White, and Pitch Black.

Inside, the R/T Redline gets a Dark Slate Gray interior with performance seats, or, for R/T Plus models with the Redline package, Nappa leather seats in Radar Red or Dark Slate Gray. Cars equipped with the automatic transmission also get remote start, a Mopar T-handle shifter, and a bright pedal kit.

The Redline equipment group is available on all 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T and R/T Plus models for a premium of $1,995, starting this spring.
