Four body styles, plus some wicked AMG love, mean the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E Class is freshly revamped and ready to take on the luxury sedan competition.

The E Class Sedan and Wagon both made their way onto the web before the holidays, while the Coupe and Cabriolet saw their debuts at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show alongside the new E63 AMG 4Matic--the first all-wheel drive AMG car.

While we're not entirely sure we'll enjoy giving up the incredible burnout potential of a Mercedes-AMG vehicle, the 4Matic all-wheel drive system does go a long way toward making the E63 a more practical only-car option--provided, of course, you can afford the fuel bill.

Romping and stomping with 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque in the new E63 AMG S-Model, the uber-sedan and -wagon combo are luxury cruisers par excellence, cars that set the benchmark for the idea of a large, luxurious, ludicrously fast freeway eater in their last incarnations. The revised 2014 models look like they'll raise the bar a notch.
