Volvo has been teasing the world with its various Polestar concepts for some time now. We finally got word that the S60 Polestar was ready for production, and the limited edition vehicle is finally set for sale in Australia. Now, that's not exactly exciting news for those of us based here in the States, but it's always fun to see an exciting car hit the streets.

To celebrate the impending arrival, Volvo has put out a video that features racecar driver Robert Dahlgren discussing his involvement in this project. From chassis development to cold weather testing, Dahlgren touches on a bit of everything required to bring this car from a concept to a reality.

No, it's not the 508-horsepower concept. Still, no one thought it ever would be, and 344 horsepower from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six is rather excellent. Okay, now we're starting to get a little annoyed that it's not coming to the United States.

Next thing you're going to tell us is that a wagon version is in the works... if that happens, we're cashing in our 401k and moving down under. We're going to need every penny since cars in Australia typically cost far more than they would here.

Call the accountant, the S60 Polestar hits Australian dealerships in June. Qantas here we come!
