Hot on the heels of the special edition Porsche Panamera we saw earlier today comes two special BMW models developed exclusively for the U.S. market. They are based on the 2013 X6 crossover and 2013 6-Series coupe and offer a host of luxurious extras at only minimal additional cost. Of course, production of these beauties will be limited, so if you’re interested, you had better head down to your nearest BMW real quick as these types of special editions don’t last long.

For the X6, BMW is launching a new BMW Individual X6 Performance Edition, which as its name suggests combines elements from the BMW Individual and BMW M Performance ranges. Only 100 of these will be built, half of which will be based on the X6 xDrive35i and the rest on the more powerful X6 xDrive50i.

Pricing will start at $81,695 for the X6 xDrive35i model and $92,895 for the X6 xDrive50i model, including destination. For this, buyers can expect M Performance engine upgrades of an additional 15 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque on the X6 xDrive35i, and an additional 40 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque on the X6 xDrive50i.

The special editions also get BMW’s Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Technology Package, soft close doors, running boards, five-seat option, satellite radio with one-year subscription, BMW Apps, LED headlights (X6 xDrive50i only), and Premium Sound Package (X6 xDrive50i only).

The cars can be distinguished by BMW Individual Pearl Silver metallic paint, 20-inch Y-Spoke wheels, and black chrome exhaust tips. The interior features seats and door panels upholstered in black Alcantara and with contrasting orange stitching. Additional contrast stitching and piping can be found on the dashboard and floor mats. Finally, the dashboard and center console get BMW Individual Carbon Leather trim.

2013 BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition

2013 BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition

As for the 6-Series, the new special edition goes by the name BMW 6-Series Coupe Frozen Silver Edition, and only 55 of these will be built. Customers can either choose a 650i Coupe, priced at $99,295, or all-wheel drive 650i xDrive Coupe, priced at $102,695. Both prices also include destination.

No power upgrades are present here, but buyers do get BMW’s Frozen Silver paint finish, contrasting black mirror caps, 20-inch M Performance wheels, the M Sport Package for the 6-Series and the Executive Package, all as standard. Note, the 650i xDrive Coupe also gets BMW’s Cold Weather Package, which adds a heated steering wheel and ski storage bag.

Other features of the exterior include a sport exhaust system with dark chrome tips, black painted brake calipers, and shadowline trim.  Inside, the cars are fitted with an M steering wheel, anthracite Alcantara headliner, custom door sills, a leather dashboard, a power rear sunshade and front ventilated seats.

Delivery of the new BMW special editions will commence in December.
