If you’re looking for a sedan with amenities like Poltrona Frau leather, hand-sanded matte wood trim, a powered rear sunscreen, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-path detection and an eight-speed automatic transmission, chances are good you’re shopping only European brands.

For 2013, you may want to expand your search to include the Chrysler 300, which now features availability of all these amenities and much more. In the words of Saad Chehab, Head of the Chrysler brand, “Our mission is simply to bring the ultra exotic to the masses.”

And the masses have one more Chrysler 300 option to choose from in 2013, namely the new Glacier edition. Billed as the “ultimate all-weather Chrysler 300,” the Glacier gets all-wheel-drive; a Pentastar V-6 good for 300 horsepower; an eight-speed, paddle-shifted automatic transmission and an interior that been named to Ward’s “10 Best” list.

Like the 300S that it’s based on, look for the Glacier to favor body-colored trim over chrome, and expect black chrome instead of the usual brightwork. There are black mirror caps, black headlight trim, a dark grille and dark wheels, too, and in case that doesn’t go far enough, buyers can even choose a black-painted roof.

Outside, Glacier edition cars come in Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic and Glacier Blue Pearl, but inside, black is your only option. While the Pentastar V-6 is standard, Glacier buyers can also opt for the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, raising output to 363 horsepower. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but we expect Glacier models to begin in the $37,000 range.

As for the rest of the 2013 Chrysler 300 models, pricing begins at $30,840 for a base 300 with the Pentastar V-6 and tops out at $48,815 for a 300 SRT8. In between these extremes are the 300S ($33,990), the 300C ($36,990) and the 300 Luxury Series ($40,990).

Adding all-wheel-drive to Chrysler 300 models will add $2,350 to the bill, and opting for the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 over the standard-throughout-the-model-range V-6 will cost you another $2,000. Look for inventory to begin hitting Chrysler showrooms in the next few months.
