Owning your very own Jaguar XK just got that much easier thanks to the addition of a new base model to the latest 2013 XK lineup. The new model is the 2013 Jaguar XK Touring, which is priced from $79,875, bringing the starting price of the XK down by almost $5k. Pricing for the new 2013 Jaguar XK Touring Convertible, meanwhile, starts at $86,375, which is also around $5k cheaper than the previous most affordable XK Convertible.

Despite their entry-level positioning, the new XK Touring models are hardly lacking in features or performance--they are powered by the same 5.0-liter V-8 found in the XK, delivering an equal 385 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Jaguar promises 0-60 times of around 5.0 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.

What the customer gives up with the XK Touring models is customization: the cars are single-spec models, with the customer needing to choose only exterior and interior colors. However, they still come nicely equipped, sporting 19-inch wheels, an Aero Pack, full leather trim, Satin Rosewood veneers, heated front seats, a 525-watt sound system, a reversing camera and parking sensors, plus a multi-function steering wheel.

No major changes are made to the regular XK, which is priced once again from $85,375 for the coupe and from $91,375 for the convertible. A new Portfolio Pack is available, adding special touches such as chrome detailing to the exterior, additional color options for the cabin and niceties such as 16-way power-adjustable seats and bespoke walnut or aluminum trim.

If you opt for the supercharged XKR, you can add the Portfolio Pack as well as the previous year’s Dynamic Pack, which in 2013 is offered on the XKR Convertible in addition to just the XKR. This upgrade borrows elements from the more extreme XKR-S, also introduced last year, and includes sportier suspension as well as a higher 174-mph speed limit. Pricing for the 2013 XKR starts at $98,375, while the 2013 XKR Convertible will set you back at least $104,375, and outputs remain at 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque.

Finally, Jaguar’s limited edition XKR-S Coupe and XKR-S Convertible are back for another year, with just 100 of each available for the U.S. market. Pricing for these models start at $132,875 for the coupe and $138,875 for the convertible, which is not bad at all considering you’re getting a limited edition model with 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque on tap.

Note, all prices mentioned include an $875 destination charge.
