The 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is almost upon us, with festivities surrounding the event already in full swing in Monterey and the preview announcements being released in rapid fire. The latest is an announcement from Ferrari that its stunning new F12 Berlinetta supercar will be making its U.S. debut at the Pebble Beach event on August 19.

Designed from scratch, the F12 Berlinetta is the fastest and most powerful road going car in Ferrari’s history. Packing a new-generation 6.3-liter V-12 engine, it develops a peak output of 730 horsepower and 508 pound-feet of torque. The car also comes with a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission, magnetorheological adjustable suspension, an electronic differential and F1-Trac stability and traction control.

The end result of all those performance specs is a 0-60 mph time of just 3.1 seconds, a top speed of 211 mph, and a lap of Fiorano in just 1:23. That lap time, by the way, is a whole second faster than the already insane Ferrari 599 GTO and roughly two seconds faster than the 458 Italia and Enzo.

However, numbers alone can’t encapsulate all that the F12 Berlinetta has to offer so if you have the means we strongly suggest hopping behind the wheel. Deliveries of the new F12 Berlinetta commence in the U.S. in the first half of 2013, so now’s the time to start getting friendly with your closest Ferrari dealer.
