Stillen Scion FR-S body kit design contest

Stillen Scion FR-S body kit design contest

In what is either an increasing trend of laziness or an innovative move to involve the actual user base, more and more car companies are getting into crowd-sourced design. The latest to join the fold is Stillen, with a contest to find the best user-designed 2013 Scion FR-S body kit design--and then build it.

If you're an amateur designer, of course, the contest is free of any ambivalence: it's a great opportunity to get your work off the page and into the real world. If you're good enough.

To enter, you'll have to download Stillen's templates, design the front lip, side skirts, and rear valance--no full bumpers allowed--and submit your idea by August 14. Stillen says both digital and hand-drawn renderings are acceptable, and you can enter as many times as you'd like.

If your design is picked for construction, you'll get a two-night stay and official entry to SEMA for the unveiling.

Hit up Stillen's contest site for the full details and links to get started, and check out the image below to see what's already been submitted for Stillen's consideration. Looks like the competition is going to be tough.
