Volvo is adding a slightly more upscale version of its XC60 crossover to its lineup with the announcement today of the 2013 XC60 Inscription.

Similar to the C70 Inscription we saw at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, the latest XC60 Inscription gets a few luxury and dynamic improvements thanks to several key enhancements.

Most of the upgrades can be found in the interior, which can be ordered in four different colors.

The interiors of the XC60 Inscription all come with semi-aniline leather upholstery and an available charcoal headliner. To further spice things up, the interior is also fitted with a leather-trimmed center console armrest, door panels that match the seats, special Inscription logos and electrically adjustable lumbar support on some of the seats.

On the outside, the XC60 Inscription can be ordered with special effect paint and stylish 20-inch wheels.

The 2013 Volvo XC60 Inscription goes on sale later this year following an official world debut at the 2012 Leipzig Auto Show taking place in Germany this June.

For the latest model year, the Volvo XC60 retains its three powertrain lineup in the U.S. The base model sports a 3.2-liter straight-six rated at 240 horsepower and 236 pound-feet and is followed by a turbocharged 3.0-liter model with 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque in standard trim or up to 325 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque in sporty R-Design trim.

The XC60 remains Volvo’s top-selling model, with around 100,000 examples delivered to customers worldwide in 2011. No doubt the availability of the Inscription package will make the vehicle even more popular.
