They're in your home, in your phone and they've been in your car for several years now--we're talking about computers.

High-tech on-board infotainment systems are certainly useful, but not always easy to fathom. That's why Lexus is letting customers try before they buy--by releasing the Enform Emulator iPad app.

Lexus Enform is a suite of connected services available in select 2013 and newer Lexus models, controlled using the vehicles' infotainment displays.

There are a lot of features on offer and plenty of menus to navigate through in the real thing, but Enform Emulator lets you get used to the features before you sign on the line, meaning Lexus buyers can make the most of the features right away in their new cars.

Services such as Bing, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable, Pandora, Yelp and Facebook Places feature in the app--and on the full Enform system. The app guides you through the operations of the full system.

The app is available now through the iTunes store, compatible with iPads running iOS 5.0 or later--and it's completely free.
