There's no shortage of truly impressive, incredible stuff going on in the muscle car world these days--just look to the 2012 Camaro ZL1 and 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500. But that's at the ridiculous (and ridiculously fun) end of the spectrum. What about more ordinary, everyday muscle cars?

That's the new Challenger Rallye Redline, which puts a tougher face and a sharper attitude on the V-6 Challenger. With an aggressive exterior accent package, 20-inch wheels, some tweaks to the interior, and a host of standard performance upgrades from Dodge's existing options list, the Rallye Redline aims to deliver sportier feel and handling to match its new look.

The standard 305-horsepower Pentastar V-6 engine lies under the hood, matched to a five-speed paddle-shifted automatic transmission. A new 3.06:1 final drive replaces the standard 2.65:1 unit for punchier acceleration.

All four corners are upgraded with the Super Sport Group, including monotube shocks tuned to 42 percent greater stiffness up front and 22 percent stiffer in the rear. Larger front and rear stabilizer bars further aid handling and resist body roll, while the steering is calibrated to be 25 percent quicker with 20 percent heavier on-center feel. Eight-inch-wide 20-inch wheels (half an inch wider than stock) wear 245/45 all-season performance tires. Dual-piston calipers replaces the standard single-piston units, grabbing larger 13.6-inch front and 12.6-inch rear vented rotors.

The Challenger Rally Redline is open for order now, arriving in dealerships next month. It starts at $28,745 plus a $925 destination fee.
