Billed as “the most uncompromising open super sports car of its entire history” by Lamborghini, the Aventador J is limited to a production run of just one unit.

Before you run out the door to blow your savings account on Powerball tickets, you should know that the single model built has already been sold, and we seriously doubt the owner would be willing to flip the car regardless of how much money you offer to pay.

In keeping with the Aventador J’s purist mission, the interior is focused solely on the art and science of going fast. The J ditches the majority of the Aventador’s entertainment systems and other luxuries (like air conditioning), all in the name of saving weight to improve performance.

Power comes from the same 700-horsepower, 6.5-liter V-12 used in the Aventador coupe, and the car’s ISR transmission, pushrod suspension and all-wheel-drive layout are also carried over to the J.

A windshield, however, is not, meaning that the lucky owner had best wear a helmet capable of reducing lift in the car’s 186 mph slipstream. The Aventador J also uses a completely new carbon fiber material, called “Carbonskin,” that benefits from a resin that keeps the material soft to the touch.

Carbonskin is used throughout the Aventador J’s interior, and it’s even used in the car’s seats. The seats themselves are made of forged Composite, a lightweight-but-strong carbon composite material developed by Lamborghini.

The Aventador J also pays tribute to a storied, one-off Lamborghini model of the past. In 1970, Lamborghini created a Muira model with improved performance dubbed the Jota; while only a single Jota was built, many Muira-based copies have been crafted over the years.

Can we expect the same from the Aventador J? Possibly, but like the Lamborghini Jota, there will only be one authentic Aventador J.
