The two videos show off both the Coupe and Convertible M6s driving around a track with even a little tail-out action from the Coupe. Unfortunately the music is in the way, so we don't get to hear the sweet sound of that twin-turbo V-8 engine.
A quick reminder of the vitals: a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 rated at 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque powers the M6 models to a 7,200-rpm redline. You'll receive maximum horsepower between 5,750-7,000 rpm and maximum torque between 1,500-5,750 rpm. The power band is three times wider than the previous generation's V-10 engine thanks to the forced induction.
While the only transmission available at launch is the seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch unit, we hear BMW is considering offering a manual transmission due to demand in the last generation M5 and M6. With power going to the rear-wheels, you'll see 0 to 62 in a claimed 4.2 seconds in the Coupe and 4.3 seconds in the Convertible.
