First unleashed at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show last September, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is the current flagship of the Gallardo range and is about the closest you'll get to a road-going version of the ballistic Super Trofeo race car. That is, if you can ever find one of these rare beauties up for sale as Lamborghini only plans to build 150 of them and most of these have been accounted for.

Surprisingly, there is one on sale and it’s currently listed on eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of $278,905.

The particular example is finished in white with a red-themed interior, and it has only 10 miles on its clock.

The seller is British Motor Exotics, a dealership located in San Francisco, which posted these images of the car.

In case you missed our previous coverage, the engine in the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is the same 5.2-liter V-10 you’ll find in most Gallardos, though output is slightly higher at 570 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.

The robotized e-gear six-speed transmission sends the power to the all four wheels, shifted via steering wheel paddles. A special Thrust Mode setting enables a race start (launch control).

Inside, the car gets yards of Alcantara, in the special red color that you see here. It covers the underside of the dash, the center of the seats, and the backrest, and is contrasted by exposed carbon fiber.
