2012 Bentley Continental GTC

Bentley has auctioned off a brand new 2012 Continental GTC for charity, helping to raise more than  £240,000 (approximately $377,000) in the process.

The car was auctioned off at a star-studded event at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, England, an event that saw singer Kelly Rowland and British television personality Chris Moyles among its guests.

As well as getting the keys to their new car hand-delivered to them by  X-Factor Gary Barlow, the winning bidders have been invited to the Bentley factory in Crewe and will be able to select the woods and leathers for the interior of their car.

In a further personal touch, Bentley’s craftsmen will be adding the signatures of several of the celebrities who attended the event to the interior, creating a car unique in the world and a special memento of a generous evening.

All proceeds from the auction will go to support Children in Need, an annual charitable fundraiser organized by the BBC and aimed at helping disadvantaged children and adolescents.
