When it comes to cars with pronounced body kits and large carbon-fiber rear wings, Mercedes-Benz isn’t usually a manufacturer that comes to mind. Then again, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series cars are hardly your typical Mercedes.

The upcoming C63 AMG Coupe Black Series starts with a 6.3-liter V-8 good for 510 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to propel the coupe from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds. Even the base C63 AMG Coupe Black Series cars sport some fairly aggressive bodywork, but opt for the track-centric AMG Aerodynamics Package and you’ll get a bit of Fast and Furious with your Mercedes coupe.

Up front, the package includes front winglets and a larger front splitter that extends 1.5 inches beyond the splitter in the AMG Carbon Fiber Package. Out back, there’s a carbon fiber rear wing that’s adjustable for more or less downforce, depending upon the racetrack and your driving ability.

If you’re in for the Aerodynamics Package, you may as well pony up for the AMG Track Package, too. This includes such track-day necessities as an active rear differential oil cooler and unique Dunlop tires designed specifically for the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series.

Look for the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series to hit dealers in early 2012. Only a limited number will be produced, so if you want one of your own (with or without the pronounced rear wing), don’t put off a visit to your Mercedes-Benz dealer much longer.
