The BMW 1-Series M Coupe is a very well-balanced and downright quick car in its own right, fresh off the factory floor. But it's also a great platform for improvement and modification, and we're looking forward to seeing what the aftermarket, especially the crafty independents, will do with it. AC Schnitzer's take, on the other hand, is less what we'd like to see.

Sure, it boosts output by 60 hp to 400 total. But otherwise it's sort of a train wreck of bling and needless frippery. High-quality bling and frippery, to be sure, but still...not our cup of spiked tea.
