Porsche is bringing two new models to the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show taking place in just under two weeks now. One of these will be the recently revealed 2012 Porsche 911, but the other will be a brand new, never-before-soon model described as boasting impressive performance and dynamic looks while also exuding unadulterated driving pleasure.

At first one would assume the new car will be the redesigned Boxster that’s been spied testing for the past couple of years. However, Porsche is quick to state that its L.A. stand will also feature a cross-section of its entire lineup including the Panamera and Cayenne, as well as the Boxster and Cayman.

So perhaps it could be the highly-anticipated 2012 Porsche 911 Cabriolet, which has also been spied testing recently and is rumored to feature an advanced new roof design. Patent drawings allegedly filed by Porsche with U.S. and European trademark agencies surfaced online recently, revealing a new design where the main roof section if the upcoming 911 Cabriolet is composed of a solid material and the section around the rear window is soft.

Porsche in the past has launched previous 911 Cabriolet variants around the same time as the hard-top, and with the latest 911 confirmed for sale in February the two cars may very well appear together in L.A.
