Lotus has already confirmed that it’s bringing a handful of new models to next week’s 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, only two of which have been announced.

They are the supercharged Elise S, which will replace the Elise SC, as well as the production version of the Evora GTE Road Car Concept.

Not much else is known about the other models, though one is believed to be this heavily revamped Exige we’ve seen testing over the past 12 months or so.

It gets an extended wheelbase and possibly a wider track to accommodate the 3.5-liter V-6 engine used in the Evora. Peak output should match the Evora’s 276 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque, and we hope a supercharged S model is launched too.

It’s not clear yet whether Lotus will keep the Exige name for the new car, though all should be revealed on September 13 when press days for the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show commence. In the meantime, follow our complete coverage of the event by clicking here.
