Brumos Racing is well-known as one of the leading Grand-Am GT efforts these days, and the principals also own and operate a Porsche dealership in Jacksonville, Florida. This month, they've announced plans to build a special-edition Brumos Porsche B59 911 GTS to honor Hurley Haywood.

If you don't know who Hurley Haywood is, you really should. He is a five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona, a three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and a two-time winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring, and he's currently the chief driving instructor at the Porsche Sport Driving School at Barber Motorsports Park. In short, he's an endurance racing legend--and that's why Brumos Porsche has chosen to honor him with a special run of the Porsche 911 GTS.

Developed in cooperation with Porsche's German and American operations, the Brumos Porsche B59 gets a special Brumos Racing color scheme, 19-inch Fuchs-style Sport Classic wheels, interior Brumos details, and more. It's also optioned to the gills with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Shifter, Sports Suspension with PASM and rear LSD lock, plus navigation, heated seats, XM radio, and Bose audio.

Only five of the cars will be built, and each will come with a factory-produced coffee table book to document the car's inspiration and history.
