The Lexus CT 200h was introduced as a brand new model only last year so for 2012 the updates have been kept to a minimum.

However, we're glad to report that the F Sport range of accessories for the CT 200h hybrid hatchback that we saw in concept form last October is finally ready for sale.

The F Sport accessories come as an available package, which includes stiffer F Sport suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels with a high-gloss finish and a new mesh pattern grille.

Inside, the F Sport package adds metal scuff plates up front, a perforated leather steering wheel and shift knob, aluminum pedals, and metallic trim.

As for the complete 2012 Lexus CT 200h range, the new model year brings an audible warning system for pedestrians and cyclists when in EV mode, and Nebula Gray Pearl paint instead of last year’s Smoky Granite Mica.

Otherwise, the car is much the same, still returning an EPA-estimated fuel economy 43/40 mpg city/highway and 42 mpg combined.

The drivetrain consists of 1.8-liter gasoline engine matched to Toyota’s hybrid synergy drive system. Peak output equals 98 horsepower and in combination with the hybrid drive motor, the CT 200h generates 134 total system horsepower.

This is enough for a 0-60 mph time of 9.8 seconds, which makes the CT 200h slower than most vehicles on the road, including several minivans.

At least you can still look sporty with your F Sport package.
