For the launch of its new FF supercar, Ferrari invited European owners to the Italian Dolomites to test out the car on winding icy roads and some of the surrounding snow.

Labeled the “Pilota on Ice” program, Ferrari’s winter driving program is designed to get FF owners used to driving the high horsepower car on far from ideal conditions, and in the process show off the talents of its engineering team. This is, after all, Ferrari’s first all-wheel drive model.

Now U.S. customers of the 2012 Ferrari FF will get a similar opportunity, with the Italian automaker planning a special winter driving course in Aspen, Colorado. The program is scheduled to start next January and will run for about 6 to 7 weeks.
