We've already reported on the changes to the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro V-6 that allow the engine to drop 13 pounds and add 11 horsepower, bringing the total amount of ponies to 323. Now, for the more visual learners in the audience, there's video of Tom Sutter, the chief engineer, talking about the changes.

A quick refresher: The exhaust manifold has been combined with the cylinder head into one single aluminum casting, thus improving airflow, which in turn improves fuel economy and power.

Horsepower is up 11 from 312 to 323, thanks to the 7 percent increase in airflow. That's welcome news for hot shoes who can't afford or don't want to step up to the SS or upcoming ZL1 models.
