Volvo recently updated its S80 flagship sedan for the 2012 model year, with most of the updates centering on several new safety and infotainment upgrades. However, the automaker is also launching a new version of its S80 Executive special edition model, which has been revealed today in its latest guise.

The 2012 Volvo S80 Executive is designed for the growing number of people who appreciate the possibility of tailoring their cars to suit individual tastes.

While the exterior is only differentiated with a discreet badge on the trunk lid, the interior gets an instrument panel lined in leather, with the choice of either espresso brown or off black coloring.

Among the other features are ventilated soft leather seats with massage function, leather door panels, an integrated analogue clock on the instrument panel and the aluminum lined center console storage bin.

Other touches include extra thick carpeting and an optional refrigerator in the rear seat that comes with a set of Swedish crystal glasses.

Of course, the 2012 Volvo S80 Executive also comes with the latest in safety technology from a brand renowned for building some of the safest cars on the road. In this case, the luxury sedan comes with Volvo Sensus, a feature where all information is presented on a five-inch or seven-inch color screen in the upper part of the center stack. The screen is positioned high up to make it easy for the driver to keep his or her eyes on the road.
