Thanks to the wonders of time zones and the big global clock in Greenwich, England, we've finally figured out that the embargo on driving impressions for the 2011 Aston Martin Vantage S is nearly up.

In about five hours--at 00:00:01 GMT, to be exact--we'll be back with our first drive of the Vantage track special, straight from Spain's Ascari privateer course, where slate-floored showers and catered paddocks give the joint a distinctly different air from the usual dirt troughs and RV parking lots of the less well-funded circuits.

It's hard for us to get tired of driving Astons, and truth, even a five-airline jaunt through the Geneva Motor Show and another set of first drives didn't compress our joy for the 430-hp tuned Vantage. We like to think we rose to the occasion--so high, we couldn't fit under the coupe's tight roof, and had to go right-drive around the track in a British-market roadster, as you can see above.

The Vantage S is available for order now, priced at $138,000 for the hardtop and $151,000. But you want to know more, obviously, before you plunk down a roll of Clevelands.

That's why you need to come back about 7 p.m., East Coast time, for the final word on why this clubsport Aston is so worthy. Stay tuned.
