Jaguar may be celebrating 50 years of its iconic E-Type at this week’s 2011 Geneva Motor Show but that hasn’t stopped the automaker from rolling out a very special version of its equally stunning XKR. Of course, we’re talking about the new 2012 Jaguar XKR-S, which has been billed as the "most potent series production" Jaguar ever.

That’s a big call but understandable when you consider the car’s 542 horsepower supercharged V-8 engine, which is capable of propelling the big cat from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and see it reach a top speed of 186 mph.

Enjoy the live photos of the car in our gallery above and look out for the new 2012 Jaguar XKR-S in showrooms later this year. For our complete coverage of the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, click here.
