The Chicago Auto Show is in high gear already, with a storm of cars released overnight. This morning, we finally get to see the 2012 Rhys Millen Racing Hyundai Veloster Rally Car land after its mid-air teaser last week.

Sporting a 500-horsepower, all-wheel drive powertrain, the first of the Veloster rally cars is built by and for Rhys Millen to use in the 2011 U.S. Rallycross Championship.

A second Veloster rally car will be shared with Marcus Dodd and Robbie Maddison for the the Summer X Games, and a third will be built to compete in the 2WD class of the U.S. Rallycross Championship, campaigned by an unannounced set of celebrity drivers.

So far, that's about all the info we have on the motorsports version of the Veloster, though Hyundai says there's "more excitement to come." Despite the somewhat derivative, Gymkhana-esque shots in the video below, we're looking forward to the Veloster rally car's competition debut. Are you?
