As we all know the Chrysler brand has been in axed in Europe, with its cars continuing to be on sale across the Atlantic but wearing Lancia badges instead. We’ve already reported on the new 2011 Chrysler 300 being sold in Europe as a Lancia Thema and now we have news that the mid-size 200 will also make it to Europe, with Flavia its most likely name.

The information was revealed by Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne who also confirmed that the new Lancia version of the 200 would make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March. Importantly, both the sedan and a new convertible, which was leaked earlier today in Chrysler trim, will be on display at the upcoming event.

“The new Chrysler 200 will come--cabriolet included--to Europe as a Lancia, and Flavia is a very good hint as its possible name,” Marchionne revealed.

In addition to the Thema and Flavia, we’re also likely to see a Lancia version of the Chrysler Town & Country and a replacement for the Lancia Ypsilon minicar.

Most of the new Lancia lineup is scheduled to go on sale in Europe towards the end of the year, though the Flavia may not appear in showrooms until 2012. To differentiate them from their Chrysler cousins, new badges, grilles and bumpers will be used. Powertrain options will also differ slightly, with European customers being offered more diesel engine and manual transmission options.
