While the new 2012 Nissan GT-R isn’t expected to hit showrooms until early February, we pretty much have all the details on the new car, including its performance, pricing and now the available options. As previously reported, the 2012 model year sees the introduction of two different trim levels, the GT-R Premium, which will start at $89,950, and the GT-R Black Edition at $95,100 (both prices include a $1,000 destination charge).

While this represents a significant price hike of more than $6,000 over the 2011 model year, the latest iteration of the GT-R comes with more power and torque, greater fuel efficiency, revised handling, a refreshed exterior with improved aerodynamics, revised interior treatment and new wheels and tires.

And the performance? Thanks to a more powerful 523 horsepower and 451 pound-feet of torque version of the car's twin-turbocharged V-6, as well as an updated launch control system, the 2012 Nissan GT-R will rocket from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.

So what else can buyers of the new car expect? Options will include carpeted floor mats, a rearview camera and available only on the GT-R Premium model is a Cold Weather package. This package essentially replaces the car’s summer tires with Dunlop all-season high-performance run-flats. The wheels also get a dark metallic finish on them.

There will also be an updated color palette, which will include Solid Red, Gun Metallic and, at extra cost, Jet Black, Super Silver, Pearl White and the new Deep Blue Pearl.
