The 2011 Infiniti EX is coming into the latest model year with a few minor updates to keep it fresh in the eyes of luxury crossover buyers, especially with newcomers like the 2011 BMW X3 and the ever-popular Lexus RX on the prowl. The biggest changes are the introduction of a new seven-speed automatic transmission, together with some new wheel designs and other minor refinements.

The seven-speed automatic replaces the previous year’s five-speed, offering improved fuel economy on all-wheel drive models as well as increased performance. Also gone are the 17 inch wheels of the previous model, replaced instead with 18 inch wheels as standard and 19 inchers as an option.

Inside, there’s a new white color scheme for the gauges and LCD instrument display, standard dual zone climate control and an advanced blind spot warning system in the available Technology Package.

All models within the range come with the familiar 3.5-liter V-6, rated at 297 horsepower. Customers can select from either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations.

The 2011 Infiniti EX is on sale now nationwide and is priced from $34,150 for the base rear-wheel drive model.
