Have you ever wanted to drive a gigantic black beetle through a temperate rain forest? Volkswagen may just have you covered with the next New Beetle if this teaser video is any indication.
Of course, the actual car won't look much like a six-legged insect at all, eschewing the arched top for a more aggressive windscreen angle that's truer to the original Beetle, according to the latest spy photos. The front and rear will also sport classic-themed but modern treatments that bring the overall look more in line with the classic.
The video teases the date of the new New Beetle as February 6, 2011--meaning the Super Bowl--as the date we'll see more of the car. If you weren't already planning on tuning in, for either the game or the commercials, Dubheads now have at least one solid justification.
