It’s good to be a cop in the UK. While local law enforcement agencies get around in Chevrolets and Fords, across the pond they’re rolling in Jaguars. The first ever police-spec XF is about to go on patrol across the Midlands. The Central Motorway Police Group, which patrols highways across Staffordshire, Mercia and the West Midlands has bought seven high performance police vehicles based on the powerful, yet fuel efficient, Jaguar XF Diesel S.

This particular model is only sold in the U.S. so for now we can only dream of its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine and 271 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque output. Did we mention that the car returns a fuel economy of 34.5 mpg and can complete the 0-60 mph sprint in just 5.9 seconds.

For police duties, the luxury sedan is mounted with a roof mounted light bar with 3,600 blue flashing lights and integrated side alley lights, blue and white flashing LEDs inside the front grille, side mounted blue flashing LEDs, blue and red flashing LEDs integrated in the rear light clusters and a special electronic unit that powers a full suite of police equipment.
