The Audi RS4 is no longer, but in its place comes the Audi RS5, and though it gives up the utility of rear doors, it gains the beauty of Audi's A5 Coupe profile--a trade we're willing to make. In this video, we get the first taste of the 2011 Audi RS5 in action, from its riotous face to its raucous exhaust.

If you haven't been keeping up with the car, it's Audi's hottest version of the A5-platform coupe, powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 engine rated at 450 horsepower at a wailing 8,250 rpm. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox handles shifts, and quattro all-wheel drive makes the RS5 a supercoupe for all conditions. Acceleration--despite its 3,803-pound curb weight--is brisk, at 4.6 seconds to 62 mph.
