The first three Lexus LFAs to roll off the production lines and cross the salty seas to our shores have arrived, and they're silver, black, and white. They're also packed like a nuclear missile.

Test-driven and signed by an engineer before leaving their point of origin, each LFA is strapped to its own pink steel pallet for its ocean voyage. The pallets are apparently pretty special in their own right, as Lexus ships them back home and re-uses them.

Other peculiarities and factoids revealed in the first shipment: the factory oil supplied with each LFA is Mobil 1 5w50, a rather heavy blend for such a high-revving car; the cars are shipped inside a container without plastic covering to allow the paint to cure en route; and silver, white, and black are apparently more popular than the louder colors, at least among those wealthy and important enough to be among the first buyers.
