There's no doubt that the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup is one serious piece of off-road machinery. But for some, it's still not quite serious enough. So Ford has upped the ante at this year's SEMA show, revealing a new 6.2-liter V-8 and the FR Raptor XT, both of which will join the lineup.

The 6.2-liter V-8 puts out a potent 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful half-ton pickup available. The 320-horsepower, 5.4-liter Triton V-8 initially slotted into the truck will still be available, too. The upgrade to the 6.2-liter engine will add $3,000 to the trucks price, bringing the total to $41,995.

For the truly bonkers--or the amateur/semi-pro offroad racer--Ford is also offering 50 units of the FR Raptor XT. The FR stands for Ford Racing, and the Raptor XT is a near-copy of the same truck--the F-150 SVT Raptor R, pictured in the gallery above--that completed the Baja offroad race, but with the addition of creature comforts like airconditioning and a full interior.

The Raptor XT also gets a beefier 500-horsepower (estimated) 6.2-liter V-8 engine, six-speed auto, 4.56 gear set, front and rear e-lockers, a built-in chromoly rollcage, skid plating, five-point harness, beadlock wheels and tires, 15-inch front and 18-inch rear suspension travel, and, of course, a unique appearance package with a tubular front and rear bumper with integral lighting.

The FR Raptor XT will cost $99,950, is not street legal, and will only see 50 units built. Production and delivery dates haven't yet been announced.
