We all know the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is due to go on sale in the second quarter of 2011, which is still a significant length of time away we’re sure most of you would agree. However, ff you’re already having trouble waiting, Chevrolet will offer some solace by showing the new drop-top in full production trim at next month’s 2010 Detroit Auto Show.

GM officials confirmed the news at a pre-auto show event in Detroit this week, while also revealing that an updated version of last year’s Orlando MPV concept as well as the next-generation Aveo compact will also be on show next month.

The latest Orlando concept will preview a production version scheduled to enter production in the U.S. sometime in 2011.

The Aveo, meanwhile, will be a high-performance variant of the compact car that is designed to show off the potential aftermarket accessories that could be developed for it.

We'll be back shortly with a 2010 Detroit Auto Show preview.
