Spanish motorsport company Sunred is developing a new race car for the FIA GT1 series, which will also be produced in a limited batch of ten cars for homologation purposes. A prototype was unveiled at the recent Barcelona Motor Show, where it was confirmed that the car would enter production next year.

Labeled the SR08, the new supercar will feature a carbon monocoque body and will measure just 5m in length and 105cm in height. The suspension system will feature adjustable Ohlins and brakes comprising of carbon-ceramic discs that measure 380mm with six-piston calipers.

Powering the SR08 will be a 500hp V10, which gives the car a power-to-weight ratio of 2.2kg/hp. Acceleration for the 0 to 100km/h takes just 3.5 seconds and top speed is an estimated 300km/h. Click ahead for more images.
