The Corvette ZR1 is definitely one of the best, if not the single best, performance-per-dollar buy around. And now it's even more affordable: GM is offering zero percent APR or $3,000-$5,000 cash back on 2009 and 2010 ZR1s.

Why, you ask? Simple: they're building up a bit of an inventory of the cars, and need to move them off dealer lots, same as any other car. According to CorvetteBlogger, there are currently 501 2010 Corvette ZR1s in inventory, and even 11 stragglers from the 2009 model year.

The deals are as follows: zero percent APR for up to 60 months, or $3,000 cash back on a new 2010 ZR1; 2009 models get the option of a $3,000 rebate. Note that it's an either/or proposition--you can't have both.

If you've been on the fence or holding out to buy the ZR1, it looks like now's the time to pull the trigger.
