German tuner Arden has developed a twin-screw supercharger kit for Range Rover’s new 5.0L V8 engine, which not only boosts top end power but also improves driveability right across the rev range. According to Arden, extensive development and testing has resulted in a high-end supercharger with a gain of 80hp (59kW) and an additional 74lb-ft (100Nm) of torque.

The extra power means that in addition to the improved throttle response from the engine, there is also an improvement in the torque curve of the 2010 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and new LR4 (Discovery).

The entire package consists of a custom supercharger, a specially programmed ECU, new air intake ducts and a high-end exhaust system with high-flow catalytic converters. According to Arden, the price for the entire supercharger comes to around €19,500, but this does not include installation of the kit. Luckily for overseas buyers, shipping for the package is just €100 and it can be installed by almost any qualified mechanic or engineer.

Arden also offers a number of other modifications for Range Rover’s SUVs through its website, including aerodynamic modifications and custom engine rebuilds, but one of our favorite mods has got to be the tuner's kit for the Jaguar XF.
