Specialist Volvo tuner Heico Sportiv has just come out with what it’s claiming is the world's first complete upgrade program for the Volvo XC60. The program alters both the internal and external features of the car, with various engine upgrades for the different trim levels of the XC60.

When designing the upgrade kit, Heico Sportiv wanted to retain the characteristics of the XC60 but also enhance its styling. For this, a custom front apron and new tailipipes integrated into the rear apron lend the vehicle a bolder look, while the daytime running lights have been altered to look more aggressive.

Apart from external modifications, Heico Sportiv's main focus for the Volvo XC60 lies in boosting performance. In doing so, one of Heico Sportiv's core skills is tuning for the 2.4D and D5 diesel models, both of which have had their power outputs improved to around 207hp, up from the respective standard series values of 161hp and 183hp. Meanwhile, the turbocharged petrol T6 is boosted to 311hp, up from the standard 282hp.

Additionally, the Heico Sportiv Volvo XC60 is lowered 30mm thanks to sports springs, but a full sports suspension system with firmer shock absorber calibration will be available soon for even better handling and ride performance. Custom, lightweight aluminum wheels can be found on the corners and both 19 and 20in sizes are available.

In the meantime, Heico Sportiv is also working on a touring car based on the Volvo C30 T5. The car is designed to run on E85 flex-fuel, and this ability will eventually be available for the V70 and S80 models also prepared by the tuner.
