The 2010 Saab 9-3 lineup has now expanded to include the regular Sedan, SportCombi wagon and Convertible models as well as the latest 9-3X Crossover, but the best news is that pricing across the range has been reduced anywhere from 4 to 12 percent compared to the 2009 lineup.

New to the list for 2010 is the all-new 9-3X Crossover model. Powered by a 210 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the 9-3X offers sporty performance as well as off-road prowess in a relatively fuel efficient package. EPA fuel economy figures for the 9-3X are 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for the manual transmission and 17 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway for the automatic transmission.

Pricing for the 2010 Saab 9-3X starts at $37,800, which gets you a standard XWD all-wheel drive system, an electronic limited slip differential, and raised suspension.

The rest of the lineup is available in two trim levels, 2.0T and Aero, and both can be specified with either front wheel drive or XWD all-wheel drive. Pricing for the 9-3 Sedan starts at $29,725 for the base 2.0T model and tops out at $38,940 for the Aero.

The 9-3 SportCombi wagon is priced from $31,155 for the 2.0T and tops out at $37,845 for the Aero model, while the 9-3 Convertible starts at $40,815 for the 2.0T and tops out at $46,730 for the Aero range-topper.

All prices include a destination and handling charge.

Incidentally, these are the first 2010 model year Saabs going on sale in the U.S. and closely follow the recent acquisition of the Swedish automaker by Spyker. Later in the year we’ll see the launch of the new 2010 Saab 9-5 Sedan and SportCombi wagon.
